Try-Outs

Players have two opportunities to attend try-outs. They only need to attend one.

Location: NWCCLMK Fields at 3910 Cliff Crenshaw Street, Corpus Christi, TX 78410

Try-outs are for the following players:

• New to the league
• Moving up a division (example, moving from Jrs to Srs)
• Not returning to the team played in previous season
• Players who missed a year of playing

DO NOT attend tryouts if:

• The player is a returner from the previous year and returning to the team played on last season.
• Your player is a Rookie (Rookies may have player/friend/coach requests).
• Coaches' daughters (However, please confirm this with your league coach, as there are rules that must be followed, and there are instances when Coaches' daughters will have to try out.)

On try-out days, please show up early to get the player's number from the concession stand. The number will be placed on the player's back with a safety pin. The girls will be lined up in alpha/numeric order on the field try-outs are being held.

Please come wearing comfortable athletic clothes and a jacket or sweatshirt if it is cold. Cleats are not required.

Try-outs are intended to be fun, and the players will be asked to do the following:

• Kick three balls
• Field three grounders
• Catch three balls from the air
• Run to First base 

Once this is completed, players are okay to leave. 

Coaches will typically contact players after the draft, which is about a week after tryouts are held.
